Our Mission: Destroy PFAS Forever

Gradient Line

Aclarity is eliminating man made "forever chemicals" that bioaccumulate in humans, animals and remain permanently in our environment. Aclarity's proprietary technology and commercialized solution break the current PFAS cycle. Nearly 1/3 of PFAS in our environment can be found in landfills, yet the current solution is doing more harm than good. The status quo process to remove and dispose of PFAS from landfill leachate results in concentrated PFAS being disposed of back into the environment in landfills, incinerators, and deep wells which re-pollutes the air, soil, and water. By design, PFAS chemicals have strong molecular bond. Until now, the current way to "remediate" PFAS has been a dangerous cycle of removal and disposal, either by putting the PFAS back into landfills after removal or by burning the removed PFAS and releasing toxic aerosols into the air. Aclarity's technology utilizes electricity to break the carbon and fluorine bonds that make PFAS compounds so robust.

  • Dan Corwin

From the day he was born, Dan Corwin knew that he would be aiding in destroying forever chemicals in wastewater by applying automated solutions and balancing a high throughput and efficiency with design precision and accuracy. Those were his first words, in fact! He didn't know what those words meant, but as luck would have it, he is now the Controls Engineer for Aclarity, and has truly taken his pursuit to new levels. Most of his day involves breaking things (mostly on purpose) to figure out how they work and make them better, and he loves every second of it. When he isn't making the world a better place (tm), he enjoys making music, playing video games, hiking, theater, painting his nails, talking about mental health, spending time with his partner, and generally making a fool of himself whenever and wherever possible.
